Originally from Estonia, Heili moved to Seattle in 2002. Her designs are strongly influenced by the formal training and techniques she acquired in Europe, as well as the artistic environment in Seattle which has nourished her creativity. She began sewing and creating garments in her teens, and later she received formal training at the Tallinn Light Industry Technical College in Tallinn, Estonia, where she graduated with a degree in Apparel Design. Following her graduation, Heili worked with one of the top designers in Estonia, Kai Saar. Heili moved to the United States to fulfill her desire to expand her horizons and explore her creative side. She enrolled in Bellevue Community College (BCC), and was later admitted to the Fibers Program at the University of Washington (UW), from which she graduated in 2009. She received numerous awards and recognition for her creations at BCC and UW. Her work was featured in the 2009 Student Showcase in FiberArts Magazine. While studying in Seattle, Heili also worked with various Seattle-based designers. She worked at Luly Yang Couture and later with Michael Cepress designer menswear.
Heili’s current line is a collection of designer day to night pieces of high quality wools and fine silks, featuring her signature exquisitely tailored jackets. Inspired by the often overlooked intricacies in nature, her current collection highlights various textures, shapes, and colors found in the natural world. She focuses on creating well-tailored pieces with cuts and shapes that celebrate the feminine body.
